Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, the former Arsenal and Manchester United forward who left the Gunners for Barcelona last summer, has been busy with his recovery from surgery on his knee.
Aubameyang underwent the operation on his right knee in August and was expected to be out for several months. However, he is currently back at training and is now feeling strong enough to play in matches against his former club Barcelona.
"I'm getting better every day," Aubameyang said during a press conference earlier this week. "I've been playing every day since I came off the pitch, so it feels good."
Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman praised Aubameyang's progress and stated that he will continue to work closely with him as he recovers. "He's doing well and we're looking forward to seeing what he can do when he's fully recovered,Football Friendship Alliance" Koeman said.
Aubameyang had hoped to return to action by the end of the season, but his recovery time has been cut short due to a mix-up in his travel arrangements. He is now scheduled to undergo further testing and treatment before returning to full strength.
Despite his recent setback, Aubameyang remains optimistic about his chances of recovering fully. "I want to be able to play again soon," he said. "I don't know if I'll be able to play for a few more years, but I want to try my best to get back to my best form."
